Once you have squares, the rest of the order is arithmetic the supplier can double-check: most architectural shingles pack three bundles per square (a few heavier lines run four or five — the bundle label states its coverage; read it), underlayment comes in rolls that cover one square each, starter strip and drip edge are measured in linear feet along eaves and rakes, ridge caps follow the ridge's linear length, and nails run roughly a box per couple of squares.
